FamPay, now Fam, is a fin-tech startup based in Bangalore, with investors like Sequoia & Y Combinator. With a mission to raise a new, financially aware generation in India - it has successfully raised $38 Million, one of the biggest Series A funding in India 🇮🇳
FamPay enables the GenZ of India to take charge of their own finances, by providing them a prepaid card & the ability to make UPI transactions.

Responsibilities I took up
- Social Media ORM: with a journey of 60K followers to almost 500K, FamPay’s Instagram page has received a proportionally growing amount of queries, feedback, questions & concerns. I have handled ORM on Social Media since March 2021 - replying to Instagram’s DMs & comments and making sure no message goes unaddressed.
- Blog writing: FamPay aims to not just be a payments app, but a lifestyle brand for teenagers. The website has a blog section brimming with engaging and informative blogs. I got the chance to write and collaborate on eight such blogs on the page. Here’s a link to some of them.
- End-to-end execution of Instagram Stories: The marketing team at FamPay identifies Instagram stories as an active tool of our social media**.** I was part of a two-member team to lead FamPay’s stories on Instagram from June 2021-22.
For the last year, I have solely led Instagram stories for FamPay. This includes being in touch with the product and partnerships team and incorporating requirements for a social media campaign from their end in the pipeline, curating & scheduling stories for the entire week, creating designs myself, drafting design briefs when required, uploading stories, and tracking the metrics of the same.
These stories see impressions of ~85K on average.
- Business-as-usual content: I’ve created several BAU posts for FamPay that are in line with our brand image of being a relatable, fun yet informative part of a teen’s life. I work on around four to six BAU posts each month.
- Launching FamPay’s culture page: As part of a two-member team, I’ve led the social media launch of FamPay’s culture page, Life at Fam, on Instagram & Twitter. This included working on a visual language with the design team, and curating a pipeline to sustain the page on social media. I worked on several content buckets like BAU posts, PR posts and trending reels.
- Marketing Campaign: Most recently, I led a social media campaign for Christmas on FamPay’s Instagram’s page. The idea was to do an Instagram giveaway with a reality-show twist. We asked our followers to participate in it by sending in a video entry, and the winners would be chosen through our followers’ votes. We got around 800 organic participants, and the campaign reached a cumulative of 300K accounts and served as the perfect gateway to put out more user-generated content on our feed.
- Script Writing: As part of a two-member team, I’ve written several video scripts to launch new product features on FamPay, or create engaging content.
- Graphic Design: As part of end-to-end execution of Instagram stories, I design them as well. I use Figma to do the same.
